Spraypainting of my Clint Eastwood design on canvas
I’ve created three different designs, starting in acrylpaint and Posca marker, for my series ‘Faces’. Two of them I turned into a stencil and used for my spraypaintings. In 2022 I made an acryl painting based on this design (see below).

Spraypainting. How it all started…
I’ve experimented quite a lot with paintings of Andy Warhol. I designed it in April-2019 using acrylpaint on paper, based on a pencil-drawing I’ve made of him earlier on. I experimented with acrylpaint on all kinds of paper and materials, before I realised this was a perfect design for spraypainting. I turned my design into a stencil and started spraypainting. And never stopped! Great fun!
Here’s a selection of my spraypaintings and paintings of Warhol.
Anton Corbijn is one of my favourite photographers that I use for my drawings. Especially his black & white portrait-photographs.
I have based this drawing of mine on a photograph of © Stephan Vanfleteren, see here.
Pencildrawing –February-2016
I’ve based the designs of the Spraypaint-stencils on my pencildrawing of Miles Davis. I’ve often used the stencil just a few times for spraypaintings before it became an art piece on its own.
I spraypainted several boxes with my design of Andy Warhol, Serious Man and Salvador Dali
