Spraypainting of Andy Warhol on canvas
Spraypainted several paintings based on a self-portrait I made in charcoal.
December-2019 – spraypaint on paper
Here are some of the spraypaintings and paintings I made of the design I’ve called ‘Serious Man’. Still love them.
I’ve based this spraypainting-design on one of my pencildrawings of Miles Davis. After using the stencil a few times, the stencil became the artwork itself. It’s become some sort of strange dark mask of Miles.
June 2019 – Spraypaint on paper
I’ve based the two different designs of my spraypaint-stencils of Clint Eastwood on my pencildrawing and on my ‘Black & White Popart’ painting of him.

Spraypainting of my Clint Eastwood design on canvas
I’ve created three different designs, starting in acrylpaint and Posca marker, for my series ‘Faces’. Two of them I turned into a stencil and used for my spraypaintings. In 2022 I made an acryl painting based on this design (see below).

Spraypainting. How it all started…
I’ve experimented quite a lot with paintings of Andy Warhol. I designed it in April-2019 using acrylpaint on paper, based on a pencil-drawing I’ve made of him earlier on. I experimented with acrylpaint on all kinds of paper and materials, before I realised this was a perfect design for spraypainting. I turned my design into a stencil and started spraypainting. And never stopped! Great fun!
Here’s a selection of my spraypaintings and paintings of Warhol.
Spraypainting of Andy Warhol, based on famous black & white photograph of Greg Gorman
This is a spraypainting I made in May 2019 of my design of Andy Warhol, based on a famous black & white photograph of © Greg Gorman who calls it ‘painting with light’. Exactly what I needed for my design of Warhol. See original photograph here.
